Cheney Stadium
Cheney Stadium is home to the Tacoma Rainiers, a AAA Pacific Coast League team that is also the farm team for the Seattle Mariners. Originally constructed in 1960, Cheney Stadium has seen significant improvements in recent years.
From 2007 to 2009, Cheney Stadium underwent a $2.5 million renovation that included new seats, installation of party decks, expanded ADA seating platforms, and a new 50 x 25-foot, high-definition, Daktronics display screen in the outfield.
In 2010-2011, the stadium underwent an additional $30 million renovation. It now boasts double the number of concession points of sale and a larger ADA seating capacity with better access.
Cheney Stadium features amenities that now include 16 luxury suites, a 4,000-square-foot club and restaurant, club seating that is closer to the field than any other seat in any other baseball park across the nation, and a grass berm located along right field. These improvements have helped in making the ballpark one of the premier AAA baseball facilities in the country.
